About Me
My name is Josie LaTorres and I come from a long line of artists. Some of them knew they were artists: my great grandmother, a painter; my grandfather, a musician; my grandmother, a knitter; and my sister, a visual artist. The rest of them have been blissfully unaware of their daily artistry, including: my mother, an organizational artist; and my father, a master communicator. I 've been very lucky to pursue artistry in many avenues. I played the cello for 12 years, I enjoy recreational painting and photography, and most recently I've begun writing poetry again. While each of these mediums hold a very special place in my heart, performing has been my greatest passion for as long as I can remember. Whether I'm singing, dancing, or acting, there is very little that makes me happier than performing on a stage.
Influenced by my desire to live a full and beautiful life, I strive to create meaningful art for myself and for the world. I am a performing artist with a determination to turn my life into a passion project of its own. I hope we can work together ☺
